My art work and stories are inspired from the world of my childhood. The world was a very big place then. The simplest things excited me, such as going outside and playing in the grass and leaves and looking at the clouds. I spent endless hours drawing with crayons and playing with physical toys, creating my own imaginary worlds. That imagination never left me. Now as an adult it has resurfaced with in my stories. Drawing and painting are still my purpose for living, but I have found I can’t draw or paint just to do it. I must tell a story with my art, weather it is a single piece or a book. I wish to create work for young children and adult children who never grew up. To days world is so prepackaged with play dates, organized sports and electronic devices used for entertainment, when does a child have time to discover and build their own imagination?
